ABOUT ME

My name is Edith Huynh and I am the owner of the Psychology and Counselling Centre. I have a master degree in psychology with almost 10 years of experience. I am also trained in Applied Suicide Intervention (ASIST). And I am a member of the British Psychological Society.

A common meaning of psychotherapy is in a form of a conversation when a psychologist gives advice.

I strongly believe that Clients know themselves the best, therefore are the experts of the “knowledge of themselves” ; however sometimes they need support to uncover or unblock the inner resources in overcoming difficulties. I encourage taking responsibility for themselves, “can do” attitude and empowerment. In my opinion giving advice does not stimulate your mental healing and growth.
